Job summary

Apex is seeking an Environmental Principal to lead growth across the Central Region. This senior seller-doer role focuses on expanding environmental consulting with major clients, leveraging national capabilities, and mentoring teams.

The role offers flexible work arrangements and strong leadership exposure. You’ll collaborate with regional leadership, account managers, and technical teams to drive organic growth, build trusted relationships, and shape strategy in a high-visibility, high-impact

Qualifications

15+ years of environmental consulting, engineering, environmental compliance, remediation, or leadership in industry.

Responsibilities

Build, strengthen, and expand strategic relationships with established and new clients in priority markets.
Identify, develop, and win opportunities through technical expertise and client networks.
Lead client calls and meetings and major proposal efforts with SMEs and client managers.
Mentor Project Managers to build their business development skills.
Provide technical guidance across environmental services and QA/QC reviews.
Monitor regulations and market trends to identify opportunities for clients and Apex.
