Apex Companies, LLC in Pittsburgh seeks a Senior Environmental Principal Engineer to lead our expanding branch and drive projects from inception to completion. You will recruit and mentor staff, manage client relationships, and navigate complex regulatory environments.

This role requires a deep technical background, a strong book of business, and the ability to build national networks while delivering high-impact environmental solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certification is strongly desired (e.g., PG, PE).
• 15+ years of progressive environmental investigation, remediation, or compliance experience.
• Experience in managing technical staff and project managers, with client development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and growth of a new Pittsburgh branch with regional support.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage technical staff for projects.
• Develop strategies to recruit clients and expand project opportunities from inception to completion.
• Oversee Site Assessments, Remediation, Emergency Response, and regulatory compliance projects.
• Serve as primary client contact and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
• Engage in internal/external technical organizations.
