Job summary
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking an Entry Level Geologist/Environmental Scientist for our Phoenix, AZ office.
You will support environmental compliance, site investigations, and remedial-action assessments, performing field sampling for groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, and soil, and assisting with data interpretation and reporting. The role emphasizes field activities, laboratory duties, mapping, and construction of contour maps; exact responsibilities depend on
Qualifications
- BS degree in Environmental Science or Geology; MS preferred
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Valid driver's license
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
- Geotechnical drilling experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and prepare raw data for reports, plans, permits, and estimates
- Participate in field work and site investigations as required by project team
- Coordinate tasks with staff and report progress to leadership
- Apply engineering/scientific principles and industry standards in design work
- Investigate and adopt new techniques to increase efficiency and outcomes
