Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, Soil Science, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related scientific discipline and 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, subject to a motor vehicle records check.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
• Ability to travel and perform field work, including overnight travel as required by project needs.
• Successful candidate will have to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site characterization and remedial investigations of soil, groundwater, and environmental media for field screening and laboratory analysis.
• Prepare soil boring logs, interpret vadose zone and groundwater data, identify exposure pathways, and support remedial action plans.
• Manage field sample chain-of-custody documentation, packaging, and shipment of environmental samples to laboratories.
• Oversee subcontractor field activities related to environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Coordinate field activities including utility locating, surveying, drilling, and remediation tasks under project managers.
• Communicate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients about field activities and site conditions.
• Develop toward professional licensure (e.g., Arizona PG) and Site Safety Officer certification.
• Address health and safety concerns affecting project teams.
• Assist QA/QC of tasks and deliverables.
