Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) invites a Geologist/Environmental Scientist to join our Greenville, SC team.

The role focuses on environmental compliance monitoring and field activities including groundwater, surface water, sediment, air, and soil monitoring, with opportunities to lead aspects of field sampling. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering, strong analytical skills, and willingness to work in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
• 0+ internships or 1+ years professional experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic technical competency and strong analytical/mathematical skills.
• Willingness to participate in field work and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and prepare raw data into workable data for engineering/scientific project reports, plans, specifications, permits, cost estimates, and other project documents.
• Participate in field work as necessary/required to accomplish tasks assigned by the project team leadership.
• Help to coordinate assigned tasks with staff to successfully complete discreet tasks as assigned on projects. Report progress to team leadership.
• Maintain and utilize working knowledge of accepted engineering design, scientific principles, regulatory programs, and field standards and practices in the execution of design work as directed by a supervisor and in conformance with industry standards.
• Provide input and assistance in investigating new techniques and methods that may increase the Company's efficiency and incorporate cutting edge applications to arrive at the desired result on projects.
