Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks a Geologist/Environmental Scientist to join our Toledo, OH team, contributing to site investigations, compliance, and remediation across solid waste, industrial, energy, and redevelopment projects.

You'll gain hands-on experience while progressing toward professional licensure, collaborating with experienced professionals in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related work.
• GIT certification (or ability to obtain) with interest in pursuing PG licensure.
• Experience with Phase I/II ESAs and soil/groundwater investigations.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute environmental site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling and data collection.
• Participate in Phase I and Phase II ESAs and due diligence projects.
• Assist with landfill environmental compliance monitoring programs, including sampling, data management, and reporting.
• Support remediation activities, including source removal and system monitoring.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and regulatory submittals.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to support project objectives.
• Provide oversight and guidance to junior staff and field activities as needed.
