Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, physical or environmental science, or environmental engineering.
• Five to ten years of experience working on environmental projects.
• Must meet ADEC’s definition of a Qualified Professional.
• Familiar with 18 AAC 75 (ADEC Oil and Hazardous Substances and Pollution Control Regulations), 18 AAC 78 (ADEC UST Regulations) and the ADEC Draft Field Sampling Guidance Manual.
• A broad understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy.
• Ability to pass drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups following regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with environmental technicians in data collection and evaluation to support project objectives.
• Prepare technical evaluations of investigated sites using RCRA guidelines.
• Provide scientific guidance and oversee project staff preparing written documentation.
• Review processes to obtain, update environmental permits, plans, reports, and licenses.
• Ensure proposals meet environmental regulations and standards.
• Prepare charts or graphs from data samples and summarize environmental relevance.
• Determine data collection methods for site surveys and investigations.
• Participate in a positive team environment and support RFP responses.
• Support junior Geologists and promote safety culture.
• Manage resources to ensure proper deliverables and risk mitigation.
• Perform other duties as directed.
