Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join our Taos, NM field team, supporting remediation and O&M projects across the region. You will handle field sampling, system operation and maintenance, data collection, and site coordination with contractors and clients.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years environmental field experience, and the ability to work overtime. A college degree in environmental-related field is a plus, as is valid driver's license and HAZWOPER

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College degree in environmental field preferred.
• 5+ years environmental field experience.
• Good electrical and mechanical maintenance/troubleshooting skills.
• Ability and willingness to perform field work.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Data collection and sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc.
• Site inspections and system performance sampling.
• Equipment and chemical inventory management.
• Coordinate with contractors/service providers and oversight of contractor activities.
• Coordinate with project team, stakeholders, and client.
