Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Technician to support field and office tasks in Texas and New Mexico. The role emphasizes sampling groundwater, operating remediation technologies, and ensuring safety in field operations.

Based in west Texas or southeast New Mexico with substantial travel. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, a 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain it, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with

Qualifications

• 2+ years equivalent experience.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Be physically fit to perform fieldwork up to 90% of the time, and wear a respirator if required.
• A valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
• Be able to participate in a random drug testing program, including hair follicle samples.
• TWIC or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support field tasks including sampling groundwater and other media (soil, sediment, surface water, soil gas, air).
• Installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation technologies as needed.
• Complete field paperwork to document activities on site and coordinate with project managers.
