Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to support field and office tasks in Texas and New Mexico. Based in west Texas or southeast New Mexico, you will split time between field (90%) and office (10%), performing groundwater sampling and assisting with remediation technologies.

Safety is a priority as you work with engineers, geologists and consultants to deliver on-time, within-budget results, travel up to 75%, and maintain compliance while supporting project teams in

Qualifications

• 7+ years equivalent experience.
• Experience with using Microsoft Office-based software.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Be physically fit to perform fieldwork up to 90% of the time, and wear a respirator, if required
• A valid driver’s license with no major infractions
• Be able to participate in a random drug testing program, including hair follicle samples
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) or ability to obtain and maintain
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling (groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, soil gas, air) at oil & gas facilities.
• Install, operate, and maintain remediation technologies.
• Complete field paperwork and document activities on site.
• Oversee subcontractors and coordinate with clients.
• Coordinate data entry and logistics for field efforts.
• Support health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Communicate status of tasks to project managers.
