Job summary

Atlas is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support retail petroleum environmental projects across Ohio. You will conduct field investigations, assist construction activities, and travel extensively within the state to deliver solutions for clients and communities.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (degree in Geology or Environmental Science preferred), and a valid driver’s license. No experience is required; must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and lift up to 50

Responsibilities

  • Provide field and office support for retail petroleum environmental projects.
  • Role will be 95% field work (outdoor) with travel across Ohio.
  • Work outdoors in varied weather conditions; extend hours when needed.
  • Lift, carry, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs several times daily.
  • Pass a background check including driving record and drug screening.

Job Description

You'll perform field investigations, support construction-related activities, and travel throughout Ohio to help deliver environmental solutions for our clients and communities.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide field and office support for retail petroleum environmental projects.
  • Role will be 95% field work (outside), requiring travel across the state of Ohio.
  • Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Candidate may be asked to work extended hours, when required and on short notice.
  • Construction related field events
  • Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, several times per day
  • Due to client requirements, the candidate must pass a company background check, including driving record, and drug screening.

  • High School diploma required, Bachelor of Geology, Environmental Science or related degree preferred
  • No experience required
  • Valid driver’s license required as field work and local site travel is involved
  • Must be able to enter, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form
  • Communicate with contractors and staff effectively and professionally
  • Should be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established deadlines
  • Should have competent computer and mobile device knowledge including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel throughout State of Ohio, up to 95% of the time
  • Ability to work independently
