Job summary

Atlas, a trusted environmental and infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support retail petroleum environmental projects in the field across Columbus and Central Ohio. You will perform field investigations and travel throughout the region to deliver environmental solutions for our clients and communities.

This role requires a High School diploma, with a Geology or Environmental Science degree preferred, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Role will be 95% field work (outside), requiring travel across the state of Ohio.

• Candidate may be asked to work extended hours, when required and on short notice.
• Construction related field events
• Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, several times per day
• Due to client requirements, the candidate must pass a company background check, including driving record, and drug screening.

• Valid driver’s license required as field work and local site travel is involved
• Must be able to enter, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form
• Communicate with contractors and staff effectively and professionally
• Should be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established deadlines
• Should have competent computer and mobile device knowledge including Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel throughout State of Ohio, up to 95% of the time
• Ability to work independently
