Job summary

Miller Environmental Group is seeking Field Laborers / Technicians for our environmental services team in Columbus, OH. The role involves hands-on cleanup, decontamination, spill response, and basic remediation under supervision.

It requires safety focus, teamwork, and the ability to work extended hours in demanding environments. Starting pay is $20+ per hour with overtime after 8 hours, double pay on Sundays, and a strong emphasis on training, certifications, and internal advancement into

Qualifications

• Must pass a fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (non-CDL) and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold and varying weather conditions.
• Work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental cleanup, industrial cleaning, and decontamination work under supervision.
• Assist with spill response, emergency deployments, and basic remediation tasks.
• Handle, package, and transport contaminated materials per regulations.
• Wear, maintain, and properly use PPE.
• Perform strenuous physical labor including digging, lifting, and debris removal.
• Support vacuum truck operations and site preparation.
• Load/unload tools, materials, and equipment; clean tools and areas.
• Maintain basic site records and participate in daily safety briefings.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues; participate in on-call emergency response.
