Job summary

Miller Environmental Group seeks Field Laborers / Technicians to join our field operations team in Lancaster, NY. This role performs hands-on environmental cleanup, decontamination, spill response, and basic remediation tasks under direct supervision.

The work is physical and demanding, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and accountability. Starting pay is $20/hour+, with overtime after 8 hours, and multipliers for weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (non-CDL).
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold and varying weather.
• Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
• Must pass fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental cleanup, industrial cleaning, and decontamination work under supervision.
• Assist with spill response, emergency deployments, and basic remediation tasks.
• Handle, package, and transport contaminated materials in compliance with regulations.
• Wear and maintain PPE, including respirators and Level A suits.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor (digging, lifting, shoveling, debris removal).
• Support vacuum truck operations and site preparation.
• Load/unload tools and equipment; clean tools and work areas.
• Maintain basic site records and participate in daily safety briefings.
