Job summary

Miller Environmental Group is seeking Field Laborers / Technicians to join our field operations team in Baltimore, MD. The role involves hands-on environmental cleanup, decontamination, and spill response under supervision, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

This on-call/emergency role offers growth into Technician and Leadership positions, with competitive starting pay and overtime. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and substantial paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older (21 in some locations).
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (non-CDL).
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Able to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather conditions.
• Able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to get dirty and work extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends and on-call.
• Able to wear respirators and meet OSHA respiratory protection requirements.
• Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental cleanup, industrial cleaning, and decontamination under supervision.
• Assist with spill response, emergency deployments, and basic remediation tasks.
• Handle, package, and transport contaminated materials per regulations.
• Wear and maintain PPE.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including digging, lifting, and debris removal.
• Assist with containment setup and site preparation.
• Support vacuum truck operations and equipment setup.
• Load/unload tools, materials, and equipment.
• Clean tools, equipment, and work areas; maintain basic site records.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and required training.
• Work extended shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.
• Participate in on-call emergency response.
