Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology required; Master’s preferred.
• 4+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Professional Geologist (PG) licensure required.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certification with 8-hour refresher.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience leading field teams and executing Phase I/II ESAs; soil and groundwater sampling.
• Strong technical writing and regulatory-reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field programs including environmental sampling and geologic characterization.
• Evaluate and interpret field and lab data for deliverables and regulatory submittals.
• Direct field crews in soil logging, monitoring well installation, and data collection.
• Log and photograph borings per project and agency specifications.
• Oversee drilling activities and collect verification samples for QC testing.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and labs to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure work meets federal, state, local environmental requirements and client protocols.
• Review field documentation by junior staff and provide feedback.
• Identify and resolve schedule, scope, or safety concerns and escalate as needed.
• Support proposal development and scope writing.
