Job summary

Terracon's Fort Lauderdale office is seeking an entry- to mid-level Geologist/Hydrogeologist to contribute to environmental and geologic site investigations, including field sampling, data collection and report generation.

You will work with engineers and environmental scientists on Phase I/II assessments, seismic risk studies and remediation activities, progressing toward more complex projects while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable history may be required.
  • Certification in field of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and interpret subsurface data to develop site conditions.
  • Generate subsurface maps and cross-sections and collaborate with staff on projects.
  • Oversee field monitoring and testing of soils including boring investigations and soil type classification.
  • Interpret soil, bedrock and groundwater data and elevations.
  • Prepare written plans and reports related to site investigations, assessments and remediation.
  • Perform sampling and testing of water, soil and other materials.
  • Operate field monitoring equipment and maintain calibration.
  • Support development of written proposals and client communications.
