Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a field geoscience professional to support environmental investigations and civil infrastructure projects. You will assist with field investigations, collect data, and help prepare logs and figures for technical reports.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field, 0–2 years of experience, and willingness to travel up to 90%. Proficiency with MS Office and a valid driver’s license are essential, with OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork with some heavy lifting.
• Proficient with MS Office suite of products.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to travel 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations, including soil and rock sampling, drilling oversight, and groundwater monitoring
• Collect and interpret geologic and environmental data through field observations, measurements, and testing
• Prepare logs, maps, and figures to support technical reports
• Perform data analysis and assist in drafting reports, proposals, and recommendations
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols in field and lab settings
• Support senior staff in evaluating geologic hazards and site conditions
• Maintain accurate field records and documentation
