Clean Harbors is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste at plants, labs, and customer sites. This entry-level role involves field work, HHW collections, and lab moves, with training to advance toward salaried management tracks.

You must have a valid driver’s license and, within 6 months of hire, obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and customer-facing duties.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license required.
• CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsements within 6 months.
• Background check, drug test, and fit-for-duty evaluation may be required.
• Respiratory protection compliance per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety first: comply with all health, safety and operating procedures.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests and disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging areas and drums for leaks and proper labeling.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal and ship to customers as required.
• Operate at customer sites, including Fortune 500 companies, safely.
