Clean Harbors in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist CDL (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste per regulations. This role works indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, and customer sites, assisting with lab packs and HHW collections.

This entry-level position offers growth opportunities, training, and potential advancement to salary management after 18–36 months, with travel to 200+ branch locations and on-site duties daily.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license is required.
• By position, obtain CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment.
• Background check, drug test and physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifest, and disposal notifications.
• Inspect storage areas and drums for leaks, spills and labeling compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Operate at Clean Harbors customer locations daily.
• Ensure all projects comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations and company policies.
• Support lab packs, HHW collections and lab moves at customer facilities.
