Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Environmental Intern for Summer 2027 to support our Energy and Utilities division. The role involves field assessments, environmental permitting, and compliance tasks.

You will help with erosion control inspections, wetlands mapping, and regulatory documentation such as SPCC, SWPPP, and BMP plans while gaining hands-on experience in environmental services.

Qualifications

• Completed junior year of an undergraduate program in a related field.
• Great attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player.
• Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental support for various energy and utilities projects.
• Perform inspections on construction sites for erosion and sediment control.
• Delineate and map wetlands, perform environmental compliance inspections, describe habitat, and report conditions to design engineers.
• Research and assist with environmental permitting at federal, state, and local levels.
• Assist with the preparation of regulatory documents including SPCC, SWPPP, and BMP plans.
