Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an Intern/Co-op - Environmental Engineer for Summer 2027 in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assist environmental leaders on diverse land development projects, with opportunities in fieldwork, report prep, and data analysis to support site feasibility studies.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations, logging borings, collecting samples and data.
• Monitor construction projects by performing tests to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Identify solutions to field and/or laboratory problems and document results.
• Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
• Prepare logs and forms such as drilling logs, field investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs.
• Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media and engineering analyses.
• Conduct site reconnaissance and prepare reports.
• Prepare laboratory data summary tables and figures.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and geologic data for project planning.
• Perform other duties as requested.
