Job summary

Billerud NA is seeking an Environmental Engineering Co-op to support environmental compliance and treatment plant operations, monitor systems, analyze performance, and help reduce environmental impact while advancing sustainability initiatives. Qualifying candidates will have an EH&S curriculum, a minimum 2.75 GPA, and at least three semesters of college completed.

Availability for one of two rotations (Jan–Aug or May–Dec) and strong communication and teamwork skills are required; U.S.

Qualifications

• EH&S curriculum
• Minimum 2.75 GPA
• Must have completed three semesters of college education
• Must be available for one of two Co‑op rotations (Jan–Aug or May–Dec)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental support for compliance and treatment plant operations
• Monitor, assess, analyze, and optimize environmental systems
• Assist with creating and performing LOTO’s and confined space entries
• Reduce environmental impact and support sustainability initiatives
• Provide environmental support for key departments
• Utilize problem solving and analytical skills to achieve department initiatives
