Job summary

Equinox Gold is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to support environmental compliance and permitting for its Nevada operations. The role involves coordinating with regulators, consultants, and operations to ensure permits are maintained and environmental requirements are met.

You will conduct and coordinate sampling, assist with certifications, and help prepare regulatory reports while working with agencies like BLM, USFWS, USACE, EPA, and state bodies. Fieldwork and some travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in environmental field.
• 1 year of environmental work experience preferred.
• Experience with permitting, compliance, and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance and permitting activities.
• Assist in regulatory reporting and compliance (air, water, land, wildlife, waste).
• Coordinate environmental sampling, testing, and analysis with staff/consultants.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining certifications (e.g., EPA Method 9, ISO 14001).
• Engage with agencies (BLM, USFWS, USACE, EPA, NDOW, NDEP) as needed.
• Maintain environmental records and support mitigation plans.
• Perform safety and environmental audits.
• Provide field support including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in extreme temperatures.
