Job summary
Woodard & Curran is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join our team in the Greater Boston Area. You will coordinate field activities, develop technical documents, and contribute to project planning, balancing field assignments, travel, and office responsibilities.
The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, strong technical and writing skills, and a willingness to grow within a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field.
- 2-5 years of professional environmental/engineering consulting experience.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and safe work practices.
- Preferred asbestos inspector certification in MA or New England States or willingness to obtain.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and annual refresher.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Experience with ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support evaluation of suspect hazardous building materials during renovations and demolitions.
- Conduct site characterization activities.
- Remediation system design, operation, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Data management/tracking and reporting.
- Field work, data management, report writing, and interaction with project staff.
