Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a staff-level Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist in the Greater Boston Area. You will coordinate field activities, develop remediation strategies, and support projects in environmental investigation and hazardous building materials.

The role offers opportunities for growth and working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the firm. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience with environmental/engineering consulting.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and annual refresher.
• Preferred: certification as an Asbestos Inspector in MA or New England states.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities and subcontractors.
• Develop technical documents including work plans and remediation specifications.
• Contribute to project planning and execution.
• Perform data management, reporting, and site characterization activities.
• Balance field assignments, travel, and office duties; work independently or in teams.
