Job summary

Woodard & Curran in Massachusetts is seeking a Remediation Environmental Project Engineer to join our national remediation practice. This mid‑level role focuses on leading diverse remediation projects and collaborating with engineers and scientists to deliver high‑quality solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of environmental consulting experience, a bachelor’s in engineering, and PE or EIT consideration.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) strongly preferred.
• Technical experience with the lifecycle of remedial treatment systems and technologies.
• Remedial project management experience (scope, schedule, budget, staffing).
• Experience with management of remediation contractors.
• Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Experience conducting field investigations and phased reporting under MCP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducting feasibility studies
• Preparing detailed design plans and specifications
• Estimating costs and managing the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks
• Designing in situ and ex situ soil and groundwater remedies
• Preparing technical reports in compliance with applicable environmental regulations
• Selecting, coordinating, and managing subcontractors
• Evaluating and mitigating vapor intrusion sites
• Managing remedial construction
• Managing and evaluating environmental data
• Remediate and/or redevelop Brownfields sites
• Collaborating with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
