Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist with 2–5 years of experience to join our Greater Boston Area team. You will support environmental investigation, remediation, and hazardous building materials projects for diverse clients, coordinating field activities and preparing technical documents.

The role emphasizes independence, strong communication, and the ability to balance field work with office duties across Massachusetts locations, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field from an accredited program.
• 2–5 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm, including site investigation, remediation, construction, and hazardous building materials projects.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current annual refresher.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and safe work practices mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities and subcontractors.
• Develop technical documents including work plans and remediation specifications.
• Contribute to project planning and execution; support evaluation of suspect hazardous building materials.
• Balance field assignments, travel, and office-based responsibilities; work independently and with cross-disciplinary teams.
