Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Plant Environmental Specialist to support a large, union manufacturing plant in Michigan. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, environmental reporting, and program stewardship within the site EHS team.

The candidate will bring a BS in a related technical field and at least 2 years of plant environmental experience, joining the Plant EHS Manager to drive environmental compliance activities and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.

Job description

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.
