Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety specialist at our Muskegon, MI plant. The role supports compliance with environmental permits, regulatory reporting, and site EHS activities to uphold regulatory standards.

The candidate will have at least 2 years of plant environmental experience and a B.S. in a related technical field, with responsibilities including coordinating sampling, reporting, and recordkeeping, and mentoring line personnel.

Job description

Must have at least (2) years of plant environmental experience and a Bachelor of Science in related technical field only!

Manage environmental issues, regulatory reports and permits as related with a focus on either water/wastewater/stormwater compliance or waste/SPCC/Chemical Management.

Position will be a member of the site EHS team, report into the Plant EHS Manager and support environmental compliance activities for a large, union manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure compliance with permits and regulation.
• Coach and mentor line personnel in the execution of their environmental accountabilities.
• Compile and submit required environmental reports to Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.
• Coordinates all Environmental sampling, reporting and follow-up;
• Preparation and submission of required reports and associated recordkeeping.
