Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation in Corpus Christi, TX seeks an Engineering Intern to learn refinery processes and safe work practices while supporting technical services and engineering package development. The 11-week summer internship is paid and ends with a presentation detailing experiences and accomplishments.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and can commit to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an Environmental or Chemical Engineering Bachelor’s degree program.
• Full-time engineering student with at least 30 hours completed or enrolled in graduate program.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• TWIC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process information for regulatory compliance.
• Gather and analyze data for agency submittals.
• Collaborate with Automation and Instrumentation to resolve process-tag issues.
• Coordinate cooling tower compliance monitoring and testing with operations.
• Work with Environmental Engineers/Advisors and other units.
