Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation invites students to join a paid 11-week Engineering Intern program at our Corpus Christi site. You will learn refinery processes, support engineering packages, and help maintain engineering records while delivering practical, real-world projects.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, can commit 40 hours weekly, and possess strong analytical and communication skills. A TWIC eligibility and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree.
• Full-time student with ≥30 completed credits.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work in a team.
• TWIC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process information for regulatory compliance.
• Gather and analyze data for agency submittals.
• Collaborate with Automation and Instrumentation groups to resolve issues.
• Coordinate cooling tower compliance monitoring and performance testing with operations/contractors.
• Work with Environmental Engineers/Environmental Advisors and other units.
