Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation in Corpus Christi, TX invites applications for an Engineering Internship across Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Chemical, or Electrical disciplines. You will assist in project engineering activities, review technical drawings, and help create and update discipline-specific scopes and specifications.

Responsibilities include observing inspections, supporting documentation updates, and collaborating with Senior Project Engineers and Managers on site visits.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited engineering program with a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior classification.
• Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Generate discipline-related work scopes and complete project documentation updates / review.
• Familiarize with CITGO Engineering practices by editing the engineering training manual and apply as necessary to perform assigned work tasks.
• Assist with the update / creation of equipment reliability and integrity plans.
• Review existing engineering documentation for completeness and consistency with current policies and procedures, including drawings and technical data. Complete update to documentation as necessary or assigned.
• Consult with Senior Project Engineers and Managers in the group, and complete site visits in support of ongoing engineering efforts. Site visits may include witnessing site activities and scoping / verification for projects.

Education

High School Diploma
