Job summary

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Office of Financial Assistance (OFA) in Reno administers funds for Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Funds and related grants. The role assists water and stormwater systems in funding capital projects for compliance and infrastructure maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering design principles and practices.
• Practical application of calculus, algebra, geometry and statistics.
• Experience with engineering software used for analysis and design.

Responsibilities

• Review and rank projects and review preliminary engineering reports, plans and design specifications.
• Oversee contracts related to bid solicitation, construction change orders and financial draw requests.
• Perform site visits and provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with staff and agencies to complete assignments on schedule and under budget.
• Analyze complex data to support policy development and program improvements.
