Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in Indianapolis. You will support planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure while gaining field and office experience.

You will work with a team of engineers to develop solutions that meet regulatory standards and client needs, using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and CAD tools, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support site assessments, field investigations, and project studies.
• Assist with design development and adjust design parameters based on project requirements and field findings.
• Perform water quality analyses, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and other engineering analyses.
• Prepare technical reports, project documentation, presentations, and other deliverables for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Use tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other engineering software to support project design and analysis.
• Office and in-field coordination to support regional lead service line rehabilitation projects.
• Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
