Job Description
Ensure facility's operations are in full compliance with environmental record keeping and reporting requirements, and managerial reporting needs.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follow rules and guidelines and always use the right procedure for the job. Promptly report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. Employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding safety standards, regulations, and policies.
- Collect and analyze environmental data
- Carry out site assessments to determine environmental impact of activities
- Study human influences on the environment
- Improve conservation management, including recycling, water and air
- Organize efforts to address and correct compliance issues
- Provide technical support when needed
- Manage sustainability processes and reporting
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field of study
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience as an environmental engineer, including experience in record keeping and reporting requirements
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze and improve business structures and processes, as well as to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals
- Demonstrated capabilities to manage significant capital projects aimed at improving environmental performance
- Desired experience with Title V permits, NSR permits, PBRs, standard air permits, SPCC plans, and SWPPP permits
- Some experience with Sustainability reporting and ISO 14001 system management is also desired
