The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) is continuously recruiting Environmental Engineers to join our team dedicated to protecting and restoring Georgia's environment. We focus on ensuring clean air, land, and water, and work collaboratively with partners to promote sustainability, a vibrant economy, and healthy communities.
Our Air, Land, and Watershed Protection Branches, along with seven District Offices, implement laws, rules, and policies to safeguard human health and the environment. We enforce regulations fairly and proactively, developing innovative approaches to address Georgia’s environmental challenges.
The Air Protection Branch (APB) manages Georgia's air quality by regulating emissions from industrial and mobile sources. Responsibilities include establishing state rules to meet federal requirements, permitting stationary sources, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
