Job summary

REELSAFE SAFETY LLC in Odessa, TX is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced setting. You will conduct site assessments, monitor environmental conditions, and develop management plans to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in environmental science or related field, 2+ years in EHS, and knowledge of EPA/TCEQ/OSHA regulations. Travel to field sites and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an environmental specialist or EHS role, preferably in oil & gas or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA environmental regulations.
• Experience with environmental sampling, data analysis, and report writing.
• Relevant certifications (CHMM, OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER, or similar) are a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental site assessments, inspections, and audits to ensure regulatory compliance
• Monitor and evaluate environmental conditions including air quality, soil, and water sampling
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and programs
• Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory agencies
• Identify environmental hazards and recommend corrective actions to management
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ, OSHA)
• Provide environmental training and guidance to field personnel and staff
