Job summary

Kleinfelder's Environmental team in Hamilton, NJ is seeking an Environmental Remediation Scientist/Geologist to join our field and data evaluation efforts for major clients across New Jersey.

The hybrid role requires 4–8 years of environmental experience, a bachelor's in environmental science or geology, and strong technical writing skills to prepare Site Investigation, Remedial Investigation, and Remedial Action reports. OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred; in-person 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or geology or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of environmental work experience.
• Soil and/or groundwater sample collection experience.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience with regulatory reports (Sites, RI, RA).
• Experience with contaminants including chlorinated compounds, petroleum, PCBs, PFAS, metals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee field activities related to soil and groundwater investigations.
• Prepare technical documents including report writing and site evaluation documents.
• Prepare regulatory reports (Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, Remedial Action Reports).
• Analyze and enter environmental data; communicate with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Maintain safety and QA/QC.
• Assist with laboratory samples and field equipment management.
• Coordinate subcontractors performing sampling or construction activities.
