Job summary

Kleinfelder's Environmental team in New Jersey is seeking an Environmental Remediation Scientist/Geologist to evaluate data, write technical reports, and support field operations at remediation sites for major clients across New Jersey.

This hybrid role requires in-person presence at least two days per week at the Hamilton, NJ office and offers opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team of engineers and scientists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or related discipline.
• 4-8 years of environmental work experience.
• Soil and/or groundwater sample collection experience.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Experience preparing regulatory reports (Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, Remedial Action Reports).
• Experience with contaminants including chlorinated compounds, petroleum compounds, PCBs, PFAS, and metals.
• QA/QC experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee field activities related to soil and/or groundwater remedial investigations.
• Prepare technical documents including report writing and site evaluation documents.
• Prepare regulatory reports including Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports.
• Analyze and enter environmental data.
• Communicate with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ensure quality execution of assigned tasks.
• Maintain laboratory samples and field equipment management.
• Manage subcontractors performing environmental sampling and/or construction activities.
• Participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture.
