Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking an Environmental Project Manager in our Indianapolis, IN office to lead technical work and manage projects for real estate, industrial, and government clients.

The role emphasizes client communication, budgeting, and team supervision. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of due diligence experience (Phase I/II), and a Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science; Master’s is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience in due diligence, Phase I/II environmental assessments for real estate development; asbestos inspection experience is a plus.
• Ability to speak and write professionally, including preparation of client and regulatory submittals.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, budgeting and cost control.
• Demonstrated experience supervising technical and administrative staff.
• Experience with soils, groundwater, and vapor characterization at RCRA, CERCLA, and Brownfield sites; remediation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical work and project management for diverse clients including real estate, manufacturing, industrial, governmental, waste management and energy sectors.
• Lead coordination with staff and clients to ensure high-quality outcomes and timely deliverables.
