Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) invites applications for an Environmental Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager I to join our Pittsburgh, PA HQ office.

You will guide project teams through Phase I/II ESAs, site investigations, and regulatory compliance, coordinating schedules, budgets, and client communications. The role offers growth into leadership within our Environmental Practice and occasional construction monitoring for lending purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; ASTM E1527-21 training is a plus.
• Experience writing environmental site assessment reports and interpreting data to inform project objectives.
• Familiarity with Pennsylvania Act 2 Program and Pennsylvania Management of Fill Policy is a plus.
• Experience collecting environmental samples and reviewing lab reports; ability to develop recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform project work delivering environmental services (Phase I/II ESA, subsurface investigations, soil management plans).
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and contractors to oversee scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Interact with clients, lenders, and regulators to maintain relationships and ensure project objectives.
• Travel regionally as needed to support projects and inspections.
