Job summary

GHD is seeking an Environmental Construction Superintendent to oversee environmental remediation and heavy civil projects across the United States. You will direct onsite crews, manage schedule and budget, and ensure safety compliance on diverse sites, including projects like dredging, demolition, earthwork, and general contracting.

We value 7+ years of supervisory experience and ability to coordinate multiple crafts and subcontractors, review schedules, and communicate with clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of supervisor level experience with exposure to environmental remediation, heavy civil, demolition, mining, dredging/waterway, and general contracting

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the site's H&S representative and Site Safety Officer to enforce Health and Safety Plans
• Review project hazards and participate in Job Hazard Analysis and incident investigation
• Perform pre-task planning
• Coordinate and plan field activities for craft and equipment resources
• Lead all aspects of work performance and productivity of crafts and subcontractors
• Ensure direct report timecards reflect hours and tasks and are submitted timely
• Understand project contract/scope and advise project management of changes
• Assist in planning work schedule, workforce levels, material quantities, equipment needs
• Assist with selection and hiring of project craft personnel
• Train and mentor direct reports and subcontractors
• Use cost control systems to improve job performance
• Support safety culture onsite
• Perform additional assignments as needed
