Job summary

AWS Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Austin, TX seeks an Environmental Construction Program Manager to lead regulatory permitting, environmental due diligence, and site development for data centers. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage wetlands, stormwater, and groundwater protection, and drive compliance from construction through operation.

Experience with CWA 404, NPDES, and multi-stakeholder environments is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering multi-media environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance projects.
• CWA 404 and NPDES permitting expertise.
• Groundwater protection and wastewater discharge knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess environmental risks and requirements across all media and develop mitigation strategies for site delivery.
• Manage environmental compliance during construction, including wetlands and waters permits, protected species, cultural resource requirements, stormwater, erosion & sediment control, wastewater, and groundwater protection.
• Communicate environmental requirements, risks, and activities to internal and external project partners.
• Coordinate with partner teams to manage construction and operational constraints.
• Develop site development strategies that are environmentally responsible and timely.
• Lead regulatory agency interactions and negotiations.
• Develop, manage, and track metrics to evaluate program performance.
