Job summary

Borman-Specialty-Materials-LL in Henderson, NV seeks an Environmental Manager to lead regulatory compliance across air, water and land programs. You will prepare permit applications, update reports, and stay current with evolving environmental laws.

Strong communication and independence are essential, with related project leadership responsibilities. Role requires 5+ years in related work (8–10 years in chemical industry preferred), a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience; typically 8–10 years in chemical industry.
• Professional certification is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental laws and regulations (e.g. SARA Title III, Title V, CAA, CWA).
• Must have a valid Nevada Class C Driver’s License at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors air, water and solid waste discharge to ensure permit compliance and inspect pollution control devices.
• Prepares and updates permit applications; submits periodic reports to ensure compliance and permit continuity.
• Analyzes environmental data and prepares thorough reports; communicates recommendations to upper management.
• Provides training and guidance to environmental staff regarding requirements and techniques.
• Evaluates current programs and advises on regulatory impact and changes.
• Participates with management in determining responses to regulatory changes.
• Maintains knowledge of changing regulations and attends training or industry events.
