Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance for multiple facilities in LA and MS. You will guide a technical team across air quality, water, waste, and emergency response programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires 7+ years of environmental experience, a leadership background, and a strong knowledge of CAA, CWA, and RCRA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of environmental technical experience in consulting, manufacturing, shipbuilding, heavy industry, regulatory, or similar setting.
• Prior leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental team members and provide technical guidance across air quality, water, waste management, and regulatory programs.
• Interpret, monitor, and communicate applicable environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Manage permitting and reporting for air emissions, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous and solid waste, and emergency response programs.
• QA/QC of environmental submissions including TRI, Tier II, Emissions Inventory, Title V/State permits, and regulatory filings.
• Analyze sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and lower operating costs.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and trend analyses to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Partner with operations to integrate environmental requirements into business processes.
