Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required Environmental Science or five (5) years related experience with regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field
• Five (5) years or more Progressive responsibility in environmental field with emphasis in large corporate setting
• Five (5) years or more Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting the transportation industry
• Five (5) years or more Experience with regulatory agency or consulting firm in the environmental area
• Three (3) years or more Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance through “Go Live” to assure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting Ryder and related to stationary emissions and waste/hazmat management.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities including audits and coordinating responses to external audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and others.
