Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead management support, analysis, and reporting ensuring compliance with environmental policies across warehousing and cross-docking operations.

This role partners with internal and external stakeholders from RFP issuance through steady-state operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hazardous materials handling, regulatory awareness, and hands-on training program development to mitigate risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five+ years in regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation environment.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field.
• Five+ years in environmental field with emphasis in large corporate settings.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities through RFP to Go Live to ensure compliance with Ryder policies, customer requirements, and local/national regulations.
• Stays current with local, state, and federal environmental regulations affecting Ryder operations, including emissions, waste, and hazmat management to reduce risk and improve compliance.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including facility audits and coordinating responses to external environmental audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and related topics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
