Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Operations Manager for the Corrigan, Texas plywood facility to lead safety, performance, and continuous improvement. You will drive operational excellence, oversee production, and mentor a diverse team toward goals.

This role emphasizes discipline-based management, data-driven decision making, budgeting, and forecasting. You will champion injury-free operations, apply RCA, and partner with finance to align priorities with strategic aims.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisor manufacturing leadership experience in heavy industrial environment such as plywood, wood products, or paper.
• Cultivate a culture of respect, safety, ownership, continuous improvement, and employee development while leading salaried and hourly teams.
• Experience managing production operations and driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and cost.
• Experience using data and KPIs to make business decisions and achieve operational objectives including budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience leading changes, improving employee engagement, and holding teams accountable for results.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of injury-free, incident-free operations by modeling and reinforcing PBM principles.
• Optimize production processes using MPO Process System for efficiency and value creation.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing operations team with regular performance reviews.
• Oversee facility financials including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reviews.
• Utilize DO, RCA, and maintenance planning to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
• Build a culture of ownership by recognizing contributions and ensuring accountability.
• Develop job plans and monitor completion to promote proactive maintenance and reliability.
