Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to assure conformity with environmental policies across warehousing and cross-docking operations, with emphasis on hazardous materials storage and regulatory adherence.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project life cycle, from customer RFPs through steady-state operations, developing robust controls to reduce risk and improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Master's degree preferred in Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years in environmental field with regulatory/consulting or transportation exposure.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry.
• Experience with regulatory agencies or environmental consulting required.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities, from RFP through Go Live.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations affecting Ryder operations.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, incl. audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and reporting.
